Bonjour
Pour la datation, on est bien après 1794, peut-être une médaille de RAMA V ?
On le voit également en cavalier sur une amulette...
King Rama V was the fifth and longest reigning monarch in ancient Siamese history (which was only recently exceeded by Rama IX, another Great king). He ruled the Thai kingdom from 1868 to 1910 and was the first Maharaj, the Great king who abolished slavery and very much single handedly modernized the country much like the Japanese Emperor Meiji. As an equestrian himself, it was only fitting that for his 40th year of accession to the throne, an oval shaped medal was struck in RS127 (1908) to mark his humble service to the country and his people. This extremely rare limited edition medal is simply known as the Horseman. There is a full size statue of this imperial horseman in Bangkok's Royal Plaza today. King Rama V medals are so revered that the Thais regularly wear them as guardian protector, lucky amulet and talisman to ward off all evils.
