dema-coins Posté(e) 25 mai 2022 Signaler Share Posté(e) 25 mai 2022 Hello. I have in my collection such a silver Andorran coin (mintage: 10.000). Adding to the site (my private coin collection) has a problem that I can not solve the third day.. Please help to understand the two inscriptions on the coin: no information can be found: JOAN - D - M - BISBE - D'URGELL - I - PRINCEP - D'ANDORRA. In this legend it is not possible to understand the meaning of the characters "D - M". What do they mean? (Bishop, co-ruler of Andorra, name Joan Martí i Alanis. There are no initials mentioned in the name, it is also unclear what title can be mentioned by this abbreviation...). Under the coat of arms of Andorra is the symbol "MFC". I guess it could be a sign of the mint or a designer. But I do not find confirmation of this... I will be grateful for any reliable information.
