Belgrade 2002. First time ever catalogue on Serbian Medieval Coins is published on English language, author's small press issue printed in very limited number. It is standard reference on the series. Laminated hard cover, large format, 20.5 x 29.5 cm, 187 pages, every coin illustrated along with the description and all known varieties of secret marks and siglas; several maps, history of medieval Serbia and Serbian rulers. Everything that you wanted to know about this fantastic series is included, values in 3 grades are given in separate list of prices in Euros, information about known forgeries, bibliography, indexes etc. The book covers the period of about 250 years from 1200 - 1458. Short introduction on every Serbian ruler from the end of 11th century is included (even those who did not issue the coins) with short history, city coinage, coinage of unknown lords. Short history and medieval coinage of medieval Bosnia and Croatia are presented too as well as coinage of cities on the Adriatic coast including colonial coinage of Venice for Cattaro, Zara and Bar for an example. During 250 years more than 500 different varieties of Serbian medieval coins were issued. They vary from the early Byzantine and Venetian imitations to the totally unique Serbian designs.
